Volunteer Opportunities
Looking to make a difference while getting up close and personal with some amazing animals?
Join the Tree Frog Treks volunteer team! Whether you’re passionate about animal care, environmental education, or helping spread environmental awareness, there’s a place for you here.
As a volunteer, you’ll have the chance to work alongside our staff, gain hands-on experience with a variety of reptiles, amphibians, and other creatures, and contribute to wildlife conservation and education efforts in a fun, dynamic environment.
Starting Tuesdays, we’re opening up Animal Care volunteer hours from 1pm to 3pm, and we’re excited to have you join us! During these sessions, you’ll get hands-on experience caring for our beloved animal residents while learning about their unique needs and behaviors.
As a volunteer, your responsibilities will include:
Misting Enclosures: Helping maintain the humidity levels for our reptiles and amphibians by misting their enclosures to replicate their natural environments.
Bathing/Soaking Tortoises and Lizards: Assisting with bathing and soaking our tortoises and lizards to keep them hydrated and healthy, as well as cleaning their shells and scales.
General Cleaning: Ensuring our animals live in a clean, safe space by cleaning enclosures, water bowls, and other habitat features.
Animal Enrichment: Engaging in hands-on enrichment activities through gentle handling and interaction, promoting mental stimulation and physical exercise for our animals.
In addition to the core care duties, you may also have the opportunity to expand your impact by helping out at our school programs or local community events. These events allow us to share our mission of conserving our natural world, raising awareness about wildlife and ecosystems, and inspiring the next generation of nature lovers.
This is a perfect opportunity for anyone passionate about animals and conservation, eager to learn, and ready to make a meaningful difference. Your efforts will directly contribute to the well-being of our animals and our mission to protect the natural world.
If you’re looking to join our growing team of volunteers, don’t hesitate to slither on down to our office at 3835 Mission street (call ahead first) or reach out with an email to info@treefrogtreks.com!
